Death by Lightning

Lightning is notoriously scary and loud in Africa, and when it’s doing its talking, you hide and wait for the huge noise that follows. As we all know, lightning can cause major damage and even death, which is highlighted in this story.

During a soccer game in 1998, all 11 members of a soccer team died when the pitch they were playing on was struck by lightning. But somehow, no members of the opposing team were harmed.

How the fuck does this happen to all 11 players on the same team? Were all 11 players standing in one spot and the opposing team players nowhere to be found? Or did all 11 players have a karma bus pointed at them?

Sixteen years later, this mother-of-nature incident is still a huge talking point. Some say it was witchcraft, which is huge in Africa and to be honest, in this situation it is totally believable. Whoever cast the witchcraft spell must have some pinpoint accuracy. Absolutely unreal.

Not going to lie this story is a “WTF” story of note!

Stunning Doctor Says no Sex Before Games

This brunette beauty is not only known for her beautiful looks, but also for implementing some strict regimes for the Spartak Moscow players, one of which is being highlighted for the recent Champions League clash vs Liverpool.

Victoria Gameeva, a fully trained cardiologist, has banned the Spartak Moscow players from having sex before this match.

In an interview with local media, she said: “From a medical point of view, sex stimulates the ability to work only in women. In martial arts, it happens that a female athlete could fight just five or ten minutes after having sex and her results would be better. But it works differently for men. They should avoid sex two or three days before the football game.”

You know, I could go into the whole science of the article but who gives a damn about the science…do yourself a favour and go check out Victoria. She is a 10 out of 10 bombshell! She has over 35,000 Instagram followers and keeps them entertained with an array of saucy snaps from the gym, work, and modelling shoots.

For your information, not having sex before the Liverpool clash didn’t help as Spartak lost 7-0. One could say wrong advice, but its Dr. Victoria and she can do no wrong!

What a Goal !!

Alberto Brignoli who ??

I had no clue who this player was until a few days ago. Well, now I know who he is!

To make a long story short, he is a keeper for Benevento (never heard of this Serie A club) and they are playing against seven-time European Champs AC Milan.

They are down 2-1, and with the game just about over, Benevento end up being awarded a free kick. Brignoli gets the signal from the coach to go up for the free kick…who knows…maybe he scores a goal. This hardly ever happens, but it’s worth the try.

Guess what? He scored and what a goal it was! See the brilliant goal here.

In the end, all Brignoli’s goal clinched was a point. And yet, it felt like they had won the World Cup and so much more. It was Benevento’s first ever tie in Serie A. Before this game, the newly promoted team had lost all 14 Serie A games played.

What a cool story made even better by a keeper scoring one hell of a goal. #keeperunion

Lukaku Boot Deal

I recently spotted Romelu Lukaku wearing plain black boots during games and thought I would do some research as to why a player of his caliber has no boot sponsorship. Usually when a player wears plain-black boots, this is a sign they have no boot deal / sponsorship with any company.

Lukaku is looking to earn a small amount of £1.5m-a-year and believes he is totally worth this crazy amount of money. He feels the commercial landscape has changed for him since he made the summer move to one of the most famous and richest clubs in the world…Manchester United.

Currently, he has been in talks with leading makes like Nike, Adidas, and Puma over a long-term deal.

And the winner is ?? We will soon see…

Where are they now ??

If you want to track the careers of ex-top flight stars like Teddy Sheringham, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer, Patrick Vieira, Christian Panucci and much more who are now plying their trade as managers with football’s lesser known teams, I’ve got you covered.

Sportsmail has put together a list of some of these players now occupying dugouts as managers at various clubs around the world.

I had wondered where some of these players landed up and now I’m informed!

What, He is Only 6-Years Old !!

Check out the incredible skills of six-year-old Marco Antonio, already a target for European giants Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Youngster Antonio has already caught the eye of social media after his Dad shared clips of their phenomenal daily training sessions. He has already been dubbed the “new Neymar” by many in the South American country thanks to the videos.

In one of Antonio’s clips, he is seen playing keepy-uppy with his dad, showing the kind of skill most adults can only dream of.

Showing touch and class well above his age…and diminutive stature…the six-year-old keeps the ball off the ground for what feels like an eternity.

As well as that feat of skill, various videos have done the rounds on social media of him playing on the pitch. While looking much shorter than his opponents, he drifts past them with his sensational touch and skill on the ball. “Wow” is all I can say!

Going to keep track of this kid. Curious to see if he develops at a rate where he can one day play professional football.

First Team Debut at 14

Imagine making your first team debut at 14-years of age…it’s insane and did happen!

Conner Byrne, a goalkeeper (#keeperunion), made his Irish Premiership debut for Glenavon FC as they triumphed against derby rivals Portadown to reach the Mid-Ulster Cup final.

Apparently, he is tall, brave, dedicated to training, and works very hard with the coaches. He has played with the Under-20 team before and has been training with the senior squad for a number of months. The coach says Conner has always played at a level well ahead of his age.

Quite an achievement, but still worrying as he is playing against men who are just way stronger than a 14-year old could ever be.

What if he gets tackled by one of those hard-nosed plumbers ??

If I was a manager, I’m not really sure if I would play a 14-year-old versus men. Even though the lad is tall and has all the qualities they say he has, it’s still a huge risk versus reward.

Why not hold out for a few more years and then play him when his physically stronger and more mature ??

What are your thoughts? I would love to know!
