We are What We Eat ??

Yes, it’s Christmas, and I for one always end up eating way too much food and consuming a few too many beverages…oh crap! It’s December…nothing we eat or drink in December affects us; it’s a calorie-free month, right ??

Then, somewhere towards the end of December, I realize that my clothes have shrunk, my weight has increased, and the guilt kicks in big time. What the heck have I done? How can I allow myself to do this? WTF !!

How does the above compare with the December eating habits of pro footballers?

For one, most player’s don’t have a Christmas Day like we do. Many clubs around the world play on Christmas day. Yes, I’m sure the wives are not impressed by this…it sucks!

Does Ronaldo keep his model-like, ripped, muscular body because he follows the same eating habits as the average Joe?

Click here for an interesting article on how pro players eat during the festive period.

I hope to learn something from this article and apply it next year…LOL…ya right !!

What Cars do Top Football Managers Drive ??

Players earn a ton of money, and with all that money, they can purchase many gadgets, homes, and one of my favourites…expensive sports cars. We then see them showing off these exquisite vehicles on their social media accounts, leaving us football fans in total awe.

Let’s not forget the managers. They earn a shit load of money, and like players, they buy expensive sports cars too. Why not…managers are ballers too!

Have you ever wondered what vehicle Pep Guardiola drives? What about Mourinho, Wenger, Klopp, and Simeone?

One of these managers prefers to spend his millions on something other than cars, as he drives an Opel Insignia worth £18k. Who could this be?

I much rather prefer the £200k Bentley. Which manager drives this bad boy?

As you’ll see, they’ve got wheels to die for! Well, all except for the Opel Insignia manager…

Cannabis Grower Shirt Sponsor

From Atletico Madrid’s ever-changing, film-inspired deal with Columbia Pictures to an American club’s link-up with a porn site, there have been some eyebrow-raising partnerships.

An Austrian football club recently announced they had agreed on a deal to have a cannabis farm take over as their shirt sponsor.

Wow is all I can say! Let’s hope they fly high with their results LOL !!

After years of being the dopes of European sport, Wiener Viktoria will be hoping to smoke the competition with their new kit deal.

However, the Austrian minnows are by no means the only club to resort to an “interesting” choice of sponsor.

Check out nine other shirt sponsors that are just plain bonkers from around the globe in recent years.

Griezmann in Trouble

Antoine Griezmann as a Harlem Globetrotter ?? The Atletico Madrid star was attending a 80’s party and uploaded an image of himself on social media for all his supporters to see.

Griezmann, dressed as a Harlem Globetrotter, went all out donning an Afro wig while wearing an NBA vest, striped shorts, and clutching a basketball by his side. All visible parts of the 26-year-old’s skin were painted up, while his smile suggested he was pretty pleased with his costume effort.

Little did he know the backlash that would come from his choice of outfit and the posted pics. Many of his social media peeps instantly called for him to delete the post, warning the striker that the fan reception to his dress-up would not be favourable.

I don’t usually like to get into stories like this but since its Antoine Griezmann, it’s worth a read.

How Many Scouts ??

After taking over the job at Old Trafford in 1986, Sir Alex Ferguson knew he had to start from scratch and build from within the club academy.

He quickly set about building and developing the youth academy and produced what is now known as the Class of 1992. All football fans will know the Class of 1992..if you don’t then what rock have you been living under ?? Check those star players out here.

When Sir Alex retired in 2013, the development of talent from within their youth academy has never been quite the same, which has been the cause of huge debate.

Gary Neville, a former Class of 1992 graduate, recently launched a scathing attack on the Old Trafford transfer policy branding it “disjointed” and “not good enough”.

Is Neville wrong with his attack ??

Man United now have about 50 full-time scouts all over the world and the “special one”, Mr. Mourinho, in charge. Mourinho, who likes to control every situation, obviously has the final say on every deal. With more than 50 full-time scouts, how can things be so disjointed at United ??

This is a great article on how Man United has gone about its transfer dealings over the last few years.

Neville could be right. Do all you die-hard United fans agree ??

Highest Selling MLS Shirt

I am going to be short and sweet with this one.

Which player do you think has the highest shirt sales in the MLS? No, it’s not Bastian Schweinsteiger, David Villa, Kaka, or Andrea Pirlo.

Hint: The winner is from Paraguay, he is 23 years old, and a star player for Atlanta United.

I must admit…this one was a total surprise. I had no idea who this player was. I guess I know now!
