Growing up in South Africa, living in a crime-ridden society, car theft is a normal, everyday occurrence. I have been victim to a hijacking myself, and all I can say is that it was the longest three minutes of my life. I honestly thought I was going to die. Luckily, all they took was my wallet, cell phone, and vehicle.
In Brazil, it seems they have a similar issue where violence and theft ravages their cities, just like in South Africa.
Bastards !!
Here we see CCTV footage of Brazilian goalkeeper, Jefferson, who was carjacked at gunpoint. The Botafogo shot-stopper, who has made 22 appearances for his country, was on his way to training when the terrifying incident happened.
Why can the world not be a happy place? Why is there a group of people who just seem to want what others have but don’t want to work for it?
I wish we could all live a safe life and not have to worry about crap like this. To everyone I know in South Africa, please be safe!
