New Career for Michael Owen

We all know Michael Owen as a former footballer who retired in 2013. The prolific striker played for Liverpool, Real Madrid, Newcastle United, Manchester United, and Stoke City, as well as for the England national team. For those younger folks who don’t know who he is, check his stats out here.

Owen, who is now a TV football pundit, also breeds and owns racehorses and decided to get in the saddle for the first time this year at a charity race.

The 37-year old rode Calder Prince over the Prince’s Countryside Trust seven-furlong Flat race, finishing 2nd behind Tom Chatfeild-Roberts on Golden Wedding.

Guess he has talent in the saddle too! Is there anything else he is not prolific at ??

It’s unclear if Owen will do it again, but I’d be surprised if the ‘bug’ hasn’t bitten.
