A couple weeks ago, I wrote an article on Man City’s different type of crossbar challenge game. This week, Man City is back at it again with a new innovative game that is taking the internet by storm.
Pep Guardiola has revolutionized City’s training sessions by rolling out a game called “The Wall”.
This game involves the whole squad…yes goalkeepers too.
The aim of the game is to not let the ball touch the floor. In teams, they line up one behind another and kick the ball at the wall of their training complex, allowing for only three touches per player.
Once one player has had their turn, they go to the back of the queue and restart the cycle.
Should the ball touch the ground, the whole team are forced to turn around and sprint to a cone before restarting again.
As you will see from the article, the game can be taken to quite a few different levels of difficulty, something I don’t think the talented City players will have an issue with.
You don’t want to be the losing team in this game as the Guardiola punishment is pretty harsh.
Ouch is all I can say!
